Montgomery College celebrated Native American Heritage Month with a Classical Native music concert with the Taagi Three Sides Trio (the first Native American classical trio) which was founded by Professor Dawn Avery of the Mohawk Nation, and with special guests Janice Kahehti:io Longboat, a cultural educator from the Mohawk Nation Turtle Clan, and Janet Marie Rogers, a poet and performance artist from the Mohawk and Tuscarora Nations.
