Powered by "Black fives" 45407 and 44871 this train arrived in Carmarthenshire as the light was fading. We see it first at Ferryside on the River Towy, preceded by the routine HST. Then the scream of the klaxon for the level crossing announces the special - and having been slowed for some reason, it arrives rond the corner and heads off towards Carmarthen. Next day it leaves a little late at 09.30 and we see it passing the river, where there is a 20mph slack, and then setting off for the East with lots of steam and smoke!
