The FRC body style was kind of a rare bird and were predominately used for SCCA racing. The fixed roof added a lot of additional rigidity. This added rigidity would aid in reducing body flex and ideally keep the suspension in better alignment during hard cornering. Power still came from the wonderful LS1 pumping out an ultra reliable 345 horses. Shifting is accomplished via 6 speed manual transmission and was the only transmission available for the FRC. You also got the Z51 suspension package with the FRC. The FRC was also 80 pounds lighter than the targa roof coupe. Production was a mere 4,031 among the 33,270 Corvettes produced in 1999. Upon viewing this easy on the eyes Pewter painted Corvette, you would never guess it has 91,300 miles on the clock. That is due to some very loving owners. We'll take a well cared for car with miles over a thrashed low mile car any day. The Corvette does have some tasteful mods that include, LED tail lights, wood trim package for the interior, Z06 replica wheels in Chrome, Chrome door sills, Stainless steel mufflers for some added muscle and near new high performance rubber. This is a very well maintained Corvette that packs a lot of bang for the buck! If you're easy on the pedal, you can come close to 30 mpg and if you stand on the fun pedal, you can hit 60 in 4.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 170MPH!
