Unloading ties at Rhinecliff Station

CSX Train O031 is a work train that has been laying down new ties all along the tracks from Hyde Park and moving north. At this point, they have finished Hyde Park, moved through Staatsburg, and are now working on dropping ties in Rhinecliff. Here, we see O031 sitting at Rhinecliff Station. The back-hoe that was on the ramp car, steadily climbs the ramp and proceeds to move onto the gondola car just behind it, and it starts to pile up ties so as to put them on the ground. Today's consist is SD50-2 2482 with a ramp car holding a back-hoe and 7 ancient gondola cars, most of them ex-NYC and PRR, holding the ties, with SD40-2 8825 on the rear.
