Henrik believes his single, simple and personal solution that would have a dramatic positive effect – on both the health of our oceans and climate change. In Plastic Change he is ready to roll out the vision of My Bottle for Life! Henrik is the founder of Plastic Change; an international NGO based in Denmark working for an environment and ocean free of plastic. He holds a master in environmental biology and is specialized in cocktail effects of chemicals. For more than 20 years, the environment, and especially the toxic effects of chemicals, has been the centre of Henrik’s work. As a campaigner and later as the general manager of Greenpeace in Denmark Henrik contributed to the exposure of illegal export of electronics to Africa and to the successful implementation of the principle of substitution with harmless chemicals in REACH, the EU chemical regulation. Henrik is born with the ocean in his blood, and has sailed the seven seas on the Plastic Change Expedition, to document and raise awareness about plastic pollution.

In the last years Henrik has succeed in establishing Plastic Change as a key international actor fighting plastic pollution. With Plastic Change’s information campaigns going viral and reaching more than 50 million people the Plastic Change community is steadily increasing. Henrik Is not against plastic but believe we need to change the way we think about and manage this valuable resource.
