Luke shows Jess around. Rory goes to see Dean, Lindsay's boyfriend to talk about her. Dean tells Rory that there's more going on with Lindsay then she knows about. Lane runs into a lady she has never seen in Stars hollow before and strikingly looks like Lane. Who is this woman? Luke and Lorelai share their first kiss. Dean and Rory talk again and Dean tells her some news. Rory decides to tell Lane her true thoughts about Lane searching for her birth parents which leads to a fight. Lane doesn't understand why Rory is so upset about her search. Rory then has to go turn on her neighbors sprinkler and has trouble. She runs into the new kid Jess and he helps her. A woman named Nicole comes into the Diner and she and Luke hit it off pretty well. Even though he's dating Lorelai, he finds himself smiling and thinking about Nicole.
