Ok,. so the Gunslinger series by Stephen King was a pretty good series of books- other than the ending! If you don't want the end spoiled, don't watch this video. I am not a huge fan of Stephen King because of his terrible endings and his political leanings, but a guy from work told me I had to read The Gunslinger series. So I did, and I fell in love with the Roland character. All throughout the gunslinger series I'm just rooting for Roland to catch the man in black. To finally get him! But- as Stephen King is known to do- he ruins The Gunslinger with a terrible ending. I mean, just horrendous! Poor Roland goes through 8 books of heartache just to end up where he first started!
