Take a quick look at a large solar prominence that we first saw developing on the 24th of July. This colossal feature is over 100,000 miles long and reaches over 40,000 miles out in to the Sun's corona. Actual footage and images start at 2:56. Safety first: never look at the Sun with the naked eye. Never look at the Sun with any kind of optical instrument without a professionally made safe solar filter attached.
