Aiden Reilly, 16, is confined to a wheelchair but has always dreamed of driving a car like his father Police Officer Reilly. The NYPD customised a replica vehicle for the teenager as a Christmas surprise. Aiden cannot stop smiling as he is shown his police car, which has his name on the bonnet. Several men help lift the squad car on top of his wheelchair before he is pushed around 1 Police Plaza in New York to test out his new ride. Officer Reilly said: 'You saw the smile on his face. I can’t put it into words what it means.'
