He's back... And just as loving as ever... And it's not entirely his fault he's back, or the people who adopted him... This is what he was returned with:

----------
To whom it may concern:
This cat, Egbert, was adopted from your facility approximately 1 month ago. He is a GREAT cat, great with young children, other pets, and we adore him - but we cannot afford the vet fees/bills associated with owning him. He has had an issue with diarrhea since we brought him home. He has been tested negative for FELV, parasites, and worms. The vet, Julie Hanton at Eagle River VCA clinic, prescribed him some "low residue" easily digestible cat food, but his diarrhea has not improved. The vet suggested that he may just have "irritable bowel syndrome" or be under some stress, but after $300+ in expenses, we cannot afford to look into this any further. I hope that you can help him with resolving the issue and get him rehomed. I give VCA permission to release Egbert's records to AACCC.

Really sad to hear, but what can one do? He seems to be okay now, so hopefully he can be rehomed again without too much effort.
