Help! The Candida Cleanse is making me sick. Help! I don't feel good, I feel sick. Help! I've heard that one a few times. Hi it's Eric Bakker, naturopath. Thanks for coming back. I always appreciate people looking at my channel. If you're not a subscriber, please subscribe to my channel. I've been online now for five years with my candida crusher channel and it's nice for this channel to grow a little bit. I'm really going to do a lot of work with this channel over the next year or two, especially cooking and lifestyle stuff. It's all going to happen. You'll see. Right. Now what was the question again? The candida cleanse is making me sick, what should I do? Please help me. Well, sometimes when people do candida cleanses, they get a little bit enthusiastic and passionate and they actually plow head on into a cleanse and they do far too much too soon. I think people tend to underestimate what can happen during a cleanse. It's a little bit like how people underestimate going to a gym and my dad was like that. He turned up at my house one day and he said, "I'm joining the gym." I said, "Oh that's good. That's great." "I've just paid a whole year's membership and I raring to go." And he bought all the gear. I thought, oh yeah, okay, how long's this going to last? Anyway, after about a week, that was it. He was finished with the gym. He blew a whole year's membership. He didn't want to go back. I said, "What the hell happened?" "I'm hurting. My whole body." I said, "Well you're supposed to bloody hurt. That's what going to the gym's about. You got to have pain before pleasure. That's quite normal. It's delayed gratification. You're not going to have a fantastic body, you got to knock it into shape but you've got to do it slowly but surely." "Oh I know, bugger that. I feel sore everywhere. My butt's hurting, I can't sit on the, go to the bathroom." I said, "Well, you went too fast, too soon." Now had dad had taken his time over a six week period or eight week period, slowly break into the gym, you know what I mean? Take it nice and easy. Do some stretching. Maybe get a personal trainer on board. My dad wasn't like that. He would go ka-pow! Straight into it. Now that's what a lot of people do with candida cleansing. They go ka-pow! They go right into it. They don't think about what they're doing. They just jump into it. Here's what I want you to do. If you've got a major problem with candida and you're going to undergo a cleanse, you need to take it very, very easy and take it nice and slowly because you have got plenty of time. If you jump into a swimming pool and it's really cold, it's going to really bug you. Why didn't you put your foot or your toe into the water first and then your foot? Why did you jump in? Most people would never do that but they jump head on into the candida treatment. How do they jump head on into it? This is how they do it. They make a very powerful diet change within a very short period of time. That's A. B, they take far too many supplements. Too many and too high a dose. And C, they do it for too long or they repeat these kind of protocols back to back to back and they get sicker and sicker and sicker. Sometimes I see people who are a lot sicker a few months after they started a cleanse and they're not getting any better. They're just getting sicker. And then sometimes I'll a see a practitioner, maybe a naturopath or a doctor who'll say, "You're fine. You're just pushing out poisons. It's Herxheimer reaction. Keep going. Keep going." Look, if you're undergoing a cleanse and you feel sick or not well, stop it. Just stop it and see what happens. You should recover. And then, start again but at a much, much lower rate. Nobody's pushing you off a cliff. Nobody's forcing you to jump off a bridge. You're the one calling the shots. Don't be impatient. Impatience is one of the biggest problems I see in my clinic. Is people want things too quick, too soon and then they regret it. They always regret it. You know the old saying, act in haste, repent at your leisure. Don't act in haste. Take your time. That way you can see what's coming up. You see in those advertisements on TV where the police, where they tell you to slow down in the car. That's a bit like what we're trying to do here. We're trying to slow you down in the kitchen. Slow you down everywhere. Slow you down. Don't be crazy and just go 100 miles an hours into something. Slower drivers don't have accidents, they just get beeped at from behind by people. But think about what I said. There's a lot of good points in this video but the biggest take home message is, don't be a fool and jump head on into a treatment especially if you got a major problem to try and tackle it yourself by going to shops, going to online, buying products and just pummeling your body with all kinds of things. Thanks for watching the video.
