He has also been an integral piece of many cybersecurity contracts supporting the DoD and classified agencies with Booz Allen Hamilton. Brian is currently the project maintainer for his newest venture, OpenBazaar and the CEO of OB1. Brian began OpenBazaar when he forked the open source code from the 2014 Toronto Hackathon award winning “proof of concept”, DarkMarket, a decentralized Bitcoin marketplace, and has gone on to raise $1M from notable VCs Union Square Ventures and a16z to found OB1. He recently spoke at the Blocks+Bots Summit at Harvard Business School, the d10e conference focusing on decentralized technologies in Amsterdam and has guest lectured at Berkeley.
