Sergio has become one of the symbols of the American Dream by showing other immigrants that focus and hard work is meaningful and rewarded.

Sergio is the first practicing undocumented attorney in the U.S.  He earned his law degree without being a burden to the American society.

Law is Sergio's personal calling. The law is now on his side; the California legislature and Governor adopted law to grant people like Sergio a professional license.

He advocates for the youth, the Dreamers to pursue their own American Dream, it's a freedom to work for and share.  Dreamers are the young immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children, often as infants without a visa by their parents.  

An Undocumented Attorney, trailblazer, author, entrepreneur, immigrant. The State of California and its Supreme Court admitted him into the State Bar to practice law in January 2014.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
