LYRICS:

GOING HOME

I pack my clothes and grab my single issues
And wrap 'em up tight
Make a list so my collection's complete

Went to bed early, but I can't sleep
Way too excited, been waiting all week
Everyone's here so let's gas up the van
Not enough room so we Tetris the bags

We're on the road, we're going home
To the place where wild nerds roam
With pretty girls and dudes in capes
Going to cons is our escape

It's like a Mecca for geeks in a star-filled sky
Where you can meet all your heroes and none of them fly

We're on the road, we're going home,
We're going home

We melt the highway miles away like Sunfire
No stopping tonight
A Double-Double the only thing that could break our stride

Born to Run blastin', we're rockin' with Bruce
Through the dark knight we're flyin' with nothing to lose
Wind whipping by like a Banshee's scream
The tail lights are draggin' like Omega Beams

We're on the road, we're going home
To the place where wild nerds roam
With pretty girls and dudes in capes
Going to cons is our escape

It's like a Mecca for geeks in a star-filled sky
Where you can meet all your heroes and none of them fly

We're on the road, we're going home,
We're going home

Show's in sight, we can hardly wait
Walking through the doors like they're pearly gates
The smell of long boxes fills the open air
Quarter bin orphans with a puppy stare
You can feel the love flowing through the 10-foot aisles
Slave Girl Leias with their knowing smiles...

Yeah we've arrived...

We're going home, we're going home
To the place where wild nerds roam
With pretty girls and dudes in capes
Going to cons is our escape

It's like a Mecca for geeks in a star-filled sky
Where you can meet all your heroes and none of them fly

We're on the road, we're going home,
we're going home, we're going home,
we're going home...
