The Flying Scotsman has returned to British railway tracks after a decade-long restoration.

The world-famous locomotive steamed into the Bolton Street station in Bury, in northern England, on Friday. The Scotsman was the first steam locomotive to exceed 100 miles (161 kilometres) per hour in 1934. Bob Gwynne, curator of Collections and Research at the National Railway Museum, says it is a big day for the team of restorers, but that work had only just begun.
