http://ecoprojecteer.net/star-trek-doors/ Testing a full size mock-up of "Star Trek Doors". I'm slowly tinkering my way to building a set of automatic doors that are air powered. I used an old closet door (a heavy plywood one!) on a 2x4 frame, with the door driven by an air cylinder, which is activated by a solenoid connected to a light-sensing relay. A laser pointer points at the light sensor so that it activates if the laser is broken. This is just playing around testing, learning about all this kind of stuff, but look forward to updates, and eventually a FULLY designed and installed STAR TREK DOOR.
