Famous ‘Colva fama’ at Our Lady of Merces Church begins at 5:30am.  Devotees from all over Goa, and across religion flock to pray and seek blessings of Menino (Infant) Jesus.  After the Fama Mass in the morning ‘Infant Jesus’ idol is brought down from the altar and carried in a procession around the church before it is kept for public worship. Celebrations continue for the full day till late night before the Novenas commence
