Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Tablet Unboxing:

The standard Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 inch WIFI version has a starting price of $299, available in either brown or white colors, with 16GB of flash storage built right in. It does come with a micro-SD expansion slot so you can add up to 64GB of space if needed. There is a cellular version of this tablet, which can double up as a cell phone; however, it is only available internationally, with no current availability in the U.S.

You get a screen resolution of 1280x800 (with 188ppi), which compared to the iPad Mini is actually higher. iPad mini has a resolution of 1024 x 768 with a low PPI density of 163, so you get a sharper image on this Galaxy Tablet.

This tablet comes installed with the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, contains an Exynos 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and a AF 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. It is also equipped with an IR blaster so it will work as a universal remote on both your TV and cable box.

What's in the Box?

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 tablet, USB charging cable, wall adapter, and quick start guide along with some coupon offerings.

Build Quality and Full Product Tour

The build quality is quite similar to all other Samsung Devices, such as the S4, with a non-removable a glazed plastic cover on the back and a silver trim around the device. The trim itself is also made of plastic; it's just rendered in silver.
