High Court has expressed serious concern about children especially girls lodged in Child Care Institutions in the state of Goa. High Court has asked the concerned authorities a complete report about not only the children who are presently lodged in Child Care Institutions, but also who were lodged in past and now have left. High Court has also directed Chief Secretary of Goa to file progress report in 2 weeks about his inquiry into status and validity of all Child Care Institutions of the state. During hearing of a public interest litigation filed by NGO SCAN on Wednesday the High Court mentioned the recent Supreme Court's strong observation about illegality in the shelter homes in Bihar.
