No detail was overlooked when the craftspeople at APEMANIA.COM created this 50th Anniversary "tribute" replica of the iconic 1968 Planet of the Apes gorilla rifle. By popular request, they have adapted their Deluxe Airsoft model to fit the RUGER 10/22 as well as the US M1 Carbine. Rugged fiberglass, carbon fiber, and epoxy resin construction along with screen-accurate paint scheme and hardware, makes this replica one to GO APE over! It seemed fitting to put a 50th Anniversary Ruger 10/22 in this "tribute" stock, especially with Planet of the Apes 50th anniversary just around the bend! Us "ape kids" always wanted a toy version one of the ape rifles when way back in the day, but Mattel was only rehashing old cowboy pistols, Winchesters, and Tommy Guns... http://apemania.com/TOYS/ToyMasks&guns.jpeg http://apemania.com/TOYS/WHAT_IT_WASx3.jpg Slapping a Planet of the Apes sticker on a six shooter doesn't make it a Planet of the Apes gun! Who did they think they were kidding? Not us kids! So we made our own!
