The latest research, by Economists at the University of Texas, and based on studies done in the USA, Britain, Canada and Germany, involving over 25,000 people discovered that good looking people are usually happier than plain or ugly people. And much of their happiness comes from being wealthier. Good looking people usually earn higher salaries and marry other good looking people who also earn more money. It's not really so surprising. First impressions count and open doors when it comes to everything from job interviews and first dates to influencing others. Cosmetic changes like hair, make up or buying better clothes have no effect. It's your face that counts. Studies also show that cosmetic surgery does not enhance your earning power. People ranked in the top 15% by looks were more than 10% happier than the people ranked in the bottom 10% by looks. Good looking people are also considered to be more trustworthy
