Starring almost 300 beautiful and elegant Trumpeter Swans, and recorded in sub-zero January temperatures on the banks of the St. Croix River, at Hudson, Wisconsin. These swans spend the entire winter in the area. Cameo appearances by a Canada Goose, a few Mallards, and Bill Gausman. You'll notice that the swans usually only walk a short distance before sitting down and pulling their legs up next to the warmth of their body. While their body is well insulated with down and feathers, their feet get cold. When this was recorded the actual temperature was about 15 degrees below zero Fahrenheit. Obviously, these birds are at their most beautiful while flying or swimming, but they do manage to get around pretty well on the ground as well. This was recorded in High Definition 1080P using a very small unattended GoPro video camera.
