The Flame In The Flood Game Info

►A rogue-lite river journey through the backwaters of a forgotten post-societal America. Forage, craft, evade predators.

►From the Art Director of BioShock and a team of veterans of the BioShock, Halo, Guitar Hero and Rock Band series comes The Flame in the Flood.

►Travel by foot and by raft down a procedurally-generated river as you scrounge for resources, craft tools, remedy afflictions, evade the vicious wildlife, and most importantly, stay ahead of the coming rains. 

►The Flame In The Flood is a roguelike, survival video game developed by The Molasses Flood. The game was developed for Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Xbox One.

►The player must try to survive a river journey through the backwaters of a forgotten post-societal America.

►The only companion the player has is a dog called Aesop, who can sense danger and fetch supplies.

►The player must pay attention to Scout's needs such as her energy, thirst, and warmth, and not paying attention to them can result in death. Once the player dies, the death cannot be undone as The Flame in the Flood is a permadeath game.

►There is a crafting system allowing the player to create new items. Players will also need to scavenge areas for valuable items. Factors such as the weather will impact the gameplay. 

►Players are also able to create insulated clothing to protect them from the cold. One of the developers referred to it as a "traveling survival game"

►The game had a successful crowdfunding campaign, reaching $251,647 of a $100,000 goal. 

►Chuck Ragan composed the soundtrack.

►The game was originally available in beta, to its kickstarter backers, and was released on Steam as an early access game on September 24, 2015.
