Nine local students who participated in the Assignment: Saving Lives challenge received certificates of appreciation from Canadian Blood Services Oct. 2. Between June 29 and Sept. 4, the students recruited at least 25 potential blood donors each to be eligible to win a $1,000 educational bursary. Three of these students received the bursaries through a random draw.
