We could spend all the time we like exploring the rest of the city that’s available to us, but the event driven nature of this game will prevent the plot from advancing meaningfully until we go to the place Janus directed us to in the slums. Janus spoke of a doctor who might be able to help us secure medication to prevent DDS from killing Ben and Anna, though what this medication will be and how much it’s going to cost will remain to be seen. They still need to be careful however; the need for the medication is urgent, but allowing that desperation to influence their decisions could land them into even more trouble then they already are.

And it’s not just the illuminati that Ben and Anna have to watch out for, as there are gangs that despise augmented people even more than other rival gangs. They’d love nothing more than to riddle Ben full of holes and steal what he has, so we’re going to have to be on our guard even more than we already are when we enter the slums. I’d rather avoid conflict with those gangs if I can but there’s every chance they’ll seek a fight with us instead and I’ve got to be ready for that if it happens.
