Friends and family gathered at the Combined Transportation and Emergency Communications Center or CTECC Sunday afternoon to celebrate the life of an Austin woman who spent her life helping others. Melanie Wilkinson had been a 9-1-1dispatcher for five years. Sunday the building where she usually arrived to start work at 10 p.m. became the site of her memorial.
