Captain Manmohan Singh Kohli (Captain MS Kohli) led India's most secretive mission on the Himalayas. The mission was to plant a nuclear powered (plutonium powered) listening device in the Himalayas (on Mt Nanda Devi) to keep an eye on nuclear weapon program of China in the cold war era. The mission was conceived by RN Kao, founder of RAW and a joint operation of America's secret service Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Indian's Intelligence Bureau (IB), was commanded by Captain MS Kohli. Just a while back in 1965, Captain Kohli commanded a 9 member mountaineers team of Indian Navy to the world's highest peak Mt Everest in 1965 successfully. He turned a national hero and agreed to carry out the mission. His team became successful in taking the plutonium powered device on top of the Nanda Devi. But the mission failed and there has been speculations since then that the mission put millions of Indians lives at risk.
