Swastika - Bringers of Well-being

On the things that bring (ika) well-being (sva+asti = svasti) = swastika. Swastika is a Sanskrit word that has nothing intrinsically to do with Nazi Germany. The Pali equivalent is 'sovatthika' (su + atthi + ṇika) and is a name for certain qualities in the Buddha's teaching.
