Everybody is different. This is my experience; you or others may have different experiences. Mental illness is just that - mental. It lives inside your head, and heads can be funny things. In this video I touch on what *my* rapid-cycling bipolar disorder is like; I can't speak for others aside from in a very general sense. This is what it's like to be me - tears, snot and all. This was recorded when beginning a downswing from a manic period. The next day I felt as though I had the flu, because the comedown from a manic period is like... like being hungover, except you're not nauseated. As mentioned in the comments, the program outside of California is Medicaid, which I had somehow managed to forget the name of.
