This was mine and Rosie's first ever JAS and I was really proud of her!!! As you can see in the video, Rosie took an instant dislike to the corner as we entered the arena, so I anticipated a stop there, but she didn't stop at all!!! She was so good! I know our "style" isn't great, but the reason I went is to get ourselves as prepared as possible for Moreton BE in March and this went really well! We had an unfortunate pole in the showjumping section, but the idea was to get round the XC section and we certainly did that! I took longer lines than I should've, mainly because I wanted to fully prepare her for every fence, so I ended up getting 10 time faults, but now that I know she's happy with the fences I will consider the tighter lines at our next one. Overall we finished on a score of 36 (10 time faults, 4 jumping faults, 22 style fault score), I was really pleased with our style score as I was expecting worse! I think we finished 25th out of 60, so very happy with that also!
