Hurricane Ike came ashore in southeast Texas September 12th and devastated Galveston and other coastal areas. The storm also knocked out power for more than two million people in Texas, many in the Houston area. And it disrupted business at the port and nearby oil refineries. As VOA's Greg Flakus reports from the state capital of Austin, Texas, economists say the effects of the disaster will be felt all over the United States.
