This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Global sustainable energy requires a strategic pathway. The assessment on the current and future research, along with the education programs and activities at IIT Wanger Institute for Sustainable Energy Research (WISER) provide the blueprint for this initiative to continue the vision for a sustainable energy society.

Dr. Hamid Arastoopour is an internationally recognized researcher and educator in the area of sustainable energy technology.  He currently serves as Henry R. Linden Professor of Engineering and Director of Wanger Institute for Sustainable Energy Research (WISER) at Illinois Institute of Technology. Professor Arastoopour’s research expertise is in the area of computational fluid dynamics—primarily motivated by energy and environmentally related applications. Today, Dr. Arastoopour will share WISER’s vision of a pathway to sustainable energy, challenge us to understand its potential for infinite global impact, and encourage all of us to contribute to its realization.
