Annette Diefenthaler is a Senior Design Lead at IDEO's New York studio. She focuses on creating a deep understanding of people's behaviors that translates into meaningful design outcomes. Annette's passion is bringing human-centered design to systemic challenges in education. She has worked with clients in K-12 and higher education, rethinking learning tools, empowering entrepreneurs to design teaching apps, and envisioning a new educational model for an entire state. Annette is co-author of IDEO's Design Thinking Toolkit for Educators. She regularly speaks about design thinking and education. As an adjunct professor, she is currently designing a fellowship program for non-traditional students at The New School of Public Engagement with Dean David Scobey. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
