Jermain Sanker, a resident of Corozal, lost his life in Salvapan on November eighteenth, when a lone gunman approached the parked vehicle he was seated in and fired two shots in his direction. One of those bullets struck the twenty-three-year-old in the face, killing him at the scene of the shooting. At the time, eyewitnesses told News Five that a Hispanic male was observed fleeing the neighborhood on foot. While a motive is yet to be determined, police say that Elquin was initially arrested during a predawn sweep over the weekend.
