Angkor Wat, The Killing Fields, Elephant Sanctuaries...NOPE. The first thing that I learned about when I visited Cambodia was not any of those. It seems that most tourists make their first stop in Siem Reap to explore Cambodia's nightlife, the Pub Street party scene and to buy trinkets at the night market. It's so famous that outdoor bars are opening up all over the country mimicking Pub Street's atmosphere.

I left Cambodia when I was 1 in the midst of the Khmer Rouge genocide and only returned to visit 39 years later with my parents. After landing and getting settled into our rental house, we had dinner and head out to explore the nightlife of Siem Reap. This is day 1 of our 3 week tour of Cambodia.
