Golden Lion Tamain is No Longer Afraid of the Clicker

The female golden lion tamarin follows the target stick reliably now. She was very afraid of the sound of my clicker at first. I used a quiet clicker muffled in a sock until she understood the rules of the clicker-game, then went to quiet clicker with no sock, and finally I use my medium-loud Big Cat Rescue clicker (my favorite clicker!). These little monkeys are very jumpy and easily startled. The smaller paler male will get on board soon enough. Stay tuned to see his progress! (I was making a strange face in the beginning of this video because I was using live mealworms as reinforcers.. they were left over from someone else. I never use live treats.)
