Bear cub orphans return to wild and winter in artificial den

Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers place six orphaned cubs in artificial dens constructed for them on Pikes Peak Friday, February 2, 2018. The cubs were rehabilitated after being separated from mothers that died or had to be euthanized for bad behavior .ast spring and summer. The cubs were tranquilized, transported to two den sites on the mountain, placed inside and left to spend the remainder of the winter. Video by Steve Nehf.
