Welcome to the second part of the Tool Assisted Speed-run of The Great Gianna Sisters aka Giana Sisters for the MSX2.
This MSX2 port of the Amiga classic was programmed by Jan van Valburg of MGF and published by Sunrise.

This recording was made with openMSX, the open source MSX emulator for multiple platforms, including Linux, Mac OS X, Windows and Dingux.
The TAS features used are reverse — which allows reversing of errors by going back to any point in time — and set speed 50, which allows for reducing the emulation to half-speed.
Official releases and the manual of openMSX are available at http://openmsx.sf.net and unofficial daily builds for Mac OS X and Windows (32- and 64-bit) can be downloaded from http://openMSX.FiXato.net

The game itself is rather frustrating due to the controls. It feels like Giana is constantly slipping away on ice, and crashing into everything.
Not to mention those annoying fires that are spread everywhere through the game.
Even with openMSX's reverse and reduced game speed features it is still hard and frustrating to advance in this game.
