Interior Lights The main light is controlled by this three-position switch. In the ON position, lights will illuminate. In the CENTER position, lights will stay on for a period of time when the ignition switch is placed in the OFF position or the key is removed from the ignition, if so equipped, when doors are unlocked from outside the vehicle, or when any door is opened and closed with the ignition in the LOCK position. While the switch is in the CENTER position and any door is left open with the ignition in the Accessory Mode (ACC) or ON position, the light will turn ON and remain ON until the door is closed. In the OFF position, lights will not illuminate regardless of door positions. Just above your rearview mirror are these map lights, if so equipped. Push each map light's switch to turn the light ON or OFF. The map lights are also controlled by a three-position switch which functions in the same way as the main interior light. Your vehicle may be equipped with a cargo light. With the cargo light switch in the ON position, the light will illuminate when the back door is opened and turn OFF when it closes. When in the OFF position, the light will not illuminate. All interior lights will automatically turn OFF after a period of time regardless of what position the light switch is in.
