This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Think failure is a bad thing? Deb Feder doesn't think so. Deb refocuses our assumptions of failure and gives some quick tips for dealing when we do fail. Deb Feder focuses her coaching and consulting practice on supporting leaders and service professionals in finding a new way to build their careers. Deb frequently speaks to audiences on failure, authenticity and communication. Deb’s coaching programs focus on getting back to basics and building a solid foundation based on values, strengths, communication and advanced business development strategies. Deb provides small team coaching, individual programs and large workshop facilitation. Deb's philosophy is that failure is good, messes can be cleaned up, and innovation shows up when you are willing to see it, allow it in and share it with others. Deb is a graduate of the University of Michigan and received her J.D./M/B.A. from the University of Iowa. Deb practiced corporate law for 15 years and brings her significant experience developing teams to her work. Deb holds her ACC credential with the International Coach Federation, the governing body of the coaching industry, and is a Certified Integral Coach through New Ventures West. Deb is an accredited partner with Strengthscope, a strengths-based assessment and 360 tool. Deb is also a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator, a methodology based on the research of Brené Brown. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
