We will be launching a new CyberRev project to make things not only more interesting for us to support, but more interesting for the community. As some of you may have heard, we have parted ways with the "current" team. We have many reasons for doing this but will not going to get into it right now. That team is the past and right now our focus is on the future of CyberRev and competitive gaming overall. Our #1 goal going into the next few months is to create entertaining content for the community and we've been making partnerships to help us do that. You've seen a little of what we're going to do with nikon and pr3raw but that's only the beginning. Every team and player we work with from now on will have to meet strict requirements that teams in the past couldn't live up to. We've said that we want to make things more more entertaining for the community and that will be our top priority because we rely on the fans to keep this going, and if we're not interested in the team we will have a hard time getting you guys interested. In the very near future, we will be holding elections. These elections will be to choose a leader of CyberRev, and the new manager/leader/president will be chosen by the community. This person will be responsible for everything that is going on with CyberRev and will be given control to do whatever he/she wants as long as they follow the rules we will have written up for them. Anyone can run for this job. The candidates will be chosen by me and it will be up to the community to vote for whoever you want to run the show. As manager, it will be your job to handle the budget as you see fit to benefit CyberRev. We've yet to decide on the budget but it will probably be something like $750 per month. This money will be used to pay for league fee's, handle LAN travel/hotel costs and to host fun events for our teams, handle logo's, apparel, websites and any other idea you may wish to launch. Although $750 doesn't sound like a lot, it is $3000 added up during your term (over 4 months) and should be good enough to handle what is needed if you know what you're doing. We may also raise it if we feel that you're worth it. This job will come with a small salary that is yet to be finalized. You will be judged by how well you manage the money, how well you manage the teams and how interesting CyberRev is during your leadership. When your term is complete, we will select a new group of people who will run against you and they will pitch their ideas to the community in video form. If they like how you ran things they can choose to re-elect you or try someone else. All major decisions such as picking up new teams or cutting current ones may be done by voting as well and we will overlook things to make sure the job is being done. If the job isn't being competed you may be forced out and I, or someone of my choosing may finish your term and the elections will start again as scheduled. All approved candidates must record a video of themselves explaining why they are worthy of the job. The person who wins the election must produce at least 1 video per week. Announcements and whatever idea you feel is worthy can be explained here. I will also make frequent videos to help out and give you guidance and criticism. The money will always be handled by myself and spend it on your request. For example if a team requires league roster payments, Instead of sending you the money you will have to request it from me and I will handle it. If the budget has been blown on other things and not enough is left to pay, We will not add more. You can either pay it to bail yourself out or risk going into re-election with poor money management under your belt. For the next month or so, we will lay down the foundation for something fun and exciting that we can build on and we look forward to seeing what ideas and other fun things of you can do when given the responsibility of running a professional team.
