This video starts early on into lap into a 50 lap 1/4 mi circle track enduro race

I have respect for and treat all divisions of racing as a serious sport. I race with respect for the drivers, equipment, officials, fans and sponsors. However in the grass roots entry level divisions there are all ways the few and I emphasize the word few, who feel there is a close similarity between enduro racing and a demolition derby. They drink more beers in the pits then laps finished on the track, and would rather take out 5 racers before they get flagged then to simply finish a clean race. I think you know the type... They are referred to as "scrubs". On the 3rd lap I got spun into the wall where both radiator hoses where ripped off the engine and radiator, the radiator was wrapped around the engine, the belts broke off, the water pump, p/s pump and alternator where literally broken in pieces and the RR suspension was so bent the wheel was riding on its sidewall. My vision was blurred andthe car was way beyond overheating. This video begins about 20 laps after the 50 mph wall hit where a different scrub spun my 1985 Mercedes Benz 190e 2.3 16 valve into the dirt stalled out for a lap or two. Got it started and I top fived the car that race. Working the hell out of the wheel as the alignment was totally screwed up. The following week I completely rebuilt the engine and car and won the next race a week after that. Don't know of any car that can run about 40 laps with no coolant/water and top five a race in that condition. Hats off to Godzilla the killer 16v. That's what enduro racing is about to me. Getting around obstacles. Outstanding sport and the only one you need two balls to play.
