Rating for Recipe for Turnabout 2nd Trial: 6.5 out of 10 Continuing from last week’s episode, things aren’t getting any good. Nick has to investigate while Maya is employed at Tres Bien. But what they find is going to lead to some unexpected truths. Last week was a mess of an episode due to its pacing but this week’s a bit of a reprieve. However, this week’s acceptable. We do get to see some good bits such as Maya in a waitress outfit and the scene with Mai but there’s also some backstory connecting Viola Cadaverini and Furio Tigre. It’s anything but since it’s mostly sad. Real sad. But at least Gumshoe gets his epic moment. There’s that. This episode is alright but has flaws. One being that certain scenes such as the Victor Kudo bit should be in the previous episode. Also some scenes were outright cut like Nick and Maya meeting the lead programmer. It was in the game but not in the anime. Not to mention the aftermath of the MC Bomber hit in Criminal Affairs. It doesn’t happen. It’s a mess but let’s hope next week’s episode makes up for it.
