A Baka man speaks to the camera for Forest Voices Tour http://www.forestvoices.com Organised by Global Music Exchange http://www.1heart.org Right now the Baka are facing huge pressure to leave their forest home to settle in roadside villages. They are told it is for their own good "to give them better access to healthcare and education". In reality they have little to look forward to except, at best hard labour, at worst alcoholism and prostitution. The Baka of Mintom have been settled for many years and have had good schooling. Even ther educated can only get hard manual labour. The people who make decisions for the Baka do not hear what they themselves want. Forest Voices Tour gives the Baka the chance to speak and be heard. HELP GIVE THE BAKA A VOICE Support them at http://www.forestvoices.com
