I have said in previous videos that I prefer to start my onions from seed and that onion sets are more likely to bolt. I have started Some Ailsa Craig onions from seed and potted them up, 4 to a 10" bucket. So 10 days ago I made an impulse buy. I purchased some Japanese onion sets. Its plant winter Onion time here at Home Grown Veg and Its make 'chop and drop time' at Home Grown Veg Lets combine both. I have planted the Japanese onions 6 to a 10" bucket because they are a smaller onion than Ailsa Craig) and covered them with chop and drop. PS Salt on Seaweed is not an issue. Grow Vegetables.
