You mentioned that you ovulated last week and you're wondering how to tell if you're pregnant. The best thing to do is just wait until your period would have started and if it never starts, take an over-the-counter test. Now, this is the process of pregnancy. A normal woman's cycle lasts about 25-35 days and typically you ovulate 14 days before your period is going to start. If your body ovulates that means your ovaries are releasing an egg and it can be fertilized by a sperm. It travels down and starts to implant into the lining of the uterus and the cells begin to divide. Your body also starts to release a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin, or hCG, when you're pregnant. This is the hormone that over-the-counter pregnancy tests are sensitive to. When you get to the point when you should have started your period and you don't, then go to the store, buy an over-the-counter test, and bring it home, and take it. What your body is doing is detecting hCG levels in your urine. If there are any hCG levels there then you're pregnant. Congratulations if that's the case. If you have any specific questions about your condition or if you get to the point where you're taking a pregnancy test, you feel pregnant, but it's coming up negative, you have any bleeding or pain but you've had a positive test, then make sure to talk to your doctor. Good luck with everything and if you have any other questions for me feel free to ask them on our Facebook page and recommend us to your friends and family too.
