Fuerteventura Vlog November 2016 - Celebrations This month we had both our 8th anniversary (on the 8th) and my birthday (on the 18th). Not that there is anything to celebrate in my birthday, apart from the fact that I am still here! As George Burns said "I don't like getting old, but it's better than the alternative!" On our anniversary we went to the Ugly Duckling, a Danish restaurant that has recently relocated. https://www.facebook.com/restaurantth... On my birthday we went to Corralejo and had a meal at the Asia Garden followed by a few drinks at the Rock Island Bar. This is run by Gary and his wife, Mandy, and is the best music bar in Corralejo in my opinion. It is all acoustic music - no heavy rock. There are many different artists who play there. Gary often accompanies them on the acoustic bass, which I think as a lovely instrument. If only I could play. The Rock Island Bar usually broadcasts live every evening on Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_IC... This month we also had a friend stay so we took him around to show him some of the island. Retirement in Fuerteventura is very hectic you know.
