My wife and I planned last year to go "Farm to Table" for our Turkey's this Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Da-Le Ranch sustainable/humane/free-range farm happens to be right down the road from our house. It's really cool to get our protein this way, it just "feels right" to know where and how the animals you consume came to be, lived and died for you. I know that it's probably not possible to rely on this type of farming to feed the masses, but hey, they are a small business in our neighborhood and are doing good things.
