Hundreds of Philippine mothers breastfed their babies in public today wearing nipple headands and superhero costumes. More than 2,000 women gathered in Manila to show their support for a government campaign which aims to get more mothers to switch to breast milk from infant formula. Globally three in five babies are not breastfed early, putting them at higher risk of death and disease. Twenty-seven children out of every thousand died before the age of five in the Philippines in 2016.
