We visited the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park in San Diego on Monday March 4. This small garden is beautiful, simple & tranquil. It has the elements of a traditional Japanese garden which include winding paths, rocks, water, a koi pond, bonsai, pines, magnolias, bamboo, a tea house & a meditation garden. As we wander through the garden, some of the things you'll see in this video are: the Wisteria arbor just starting its bloom, the cherrys & plums in full bloom, a hummingbird enjoying some of those flowers, large bonsai pines being trained, Japanese lanterns, beautiful koi & more.
